An Evening of Singing and Music with Hannah Mayree

6 pm song share hour

7 pm circle singing

8 pm hannah mayree and Nadia share original music

We’ve missed you all so much and we want to sing with you and for you! I’ve been way up in Oregon and I’m glad to have an opportunity and space through MusicLandria to share songs that carry us forward and reminds us of the strength we carry with us everyday.

Kite Hands Glowing is the musical project of Nadia Lucia, who loves to play music with friends and share that experience with friends, community and family. Nadia was born on a foggy day in the coastal territory of the Ajachamen tribe in Southern California. Nadia believes other worlds other than the western paradigm are not only possible but are happening and deeply matter. She is an herbalist, birth doula, after school kindergarten caregiver, and stands with the waters and all the beings who protect and cherish waters within and without in their own ordinary, important, beautiful, collective and individual ways. Nadia has released two albums. “Before Crossing the Water” in 2016 and “Lucia” in 2018. You can listen to the latest album titled “Lucia” released this spring, 2018 at https://kitehandsglowing.bandcamp.com/album/lucia

Hannah Mayree hails from Sacramento and feels their body is made of the Oak Savana and Shasta waters that flow to the delta. Currently residing in the Shasta-Takilma territory of southern western Oregon, Mayree brings together folks sounds as sure as the diaspora has brought a banjo to their hands. Honoring African and European ancestry and the ongoing solutions to oppression we reveal through our own freedom, actions, and thoughts, this music is both personal, ecological and ethereal in nature. Han has an album being released this fall and their debut, “thoughts of the night” was released February 2018
